Edisc Behaviour Profile

Boost your business with eDISC

People are complicated. eDISC provides simple insights into how and why people do what they do, giving us a great understanding of human behaviour. Used globally by small and large companies alike, eDISC is perfect for those wanting to achieve more effective teamwork, increase sales performance, and improve working relationships.

Consider this. Have you ever wondered…

Why certain tasks that you struggle with seem to come so easily to others?

Had breakdowns in communications. One person is caught up in the big picture while the other is focused on details?

Why some people can make decisions on the fly while others need plenty of time to mull it over?

Struggled to discover what motivates and demotivates people? Yourself, your team or clients?

Why some people seem to easily get along while others struggle or even butt-heads?

Been frustrated by being misunderstood by others or struggled to understand them in return?

DISCover the key to behavioural flexibility

An eDISC analysis can give you the knowledge needed to help with all of these situations and more. Better still, within 2 hours you can learn more about yourself and those around you than you might normally learn over years… possibly even a lifetime.

Understanding your behaviour style and having insights into the styles of those around you, allows you to effectively adapt. Consequently, this gives you a huge advantage to get the best out of every situation, both in business and in your personal life.

What is DISC?

Building on the theories of distinguished psychiatrist Carl G. Jung, the DISC model of behaviour was originally proposed by psychologist William Moulton Marston.

His theories were then expanded by many others including Jukka Sappinen, an MBA graduate who developed the Extended DISC® (eDISC®) system we use today.

The 4 DISC Styles

DISC measures four aspects of personality (shown in the following graphic).

Each has its advantages & disadvantages and is associated with observable characteristics.

An overview of the 4 DISC Styles:

DISC - Eagle
Dominant
D styles are competitive, decisive, results-driven & like to have control. They prefer to move fast, take risks & get things done now.
DISC - Parrot
Influencer
I styles are talkative, sociable, optimistic and friendly, but can also be inattentive to detail, overly talkative and emotional.
DISC - Dove
Stabiliser
S styles are calm, helpful, patient, modest and laid back, but also need stability and security and, therefore, help with change.
Compliant
C styles are precise, logical, matter-of-fact, analytical and careful, but can also focus too much on details and lose the big picture.

Taking a Personality Test Versus an eDISC Analysis

For years business owners have utilised personality tests to improve their individual effectiveness as well as that of their teams. There are many tools available such as Myers-Briggs and the like, but most are quite limited in their scope.

In a standard personality test, you’re assessed for your conscious (adaptive) style only. The problem with this is that many people adjust their natural behaviours in order to do what is required of them in their work roles.

eDISC on the other hand measures both your adaptive style and natural behavioural styles. This allows for a more in-depth analysis, enabling us to identify any emotional themes that might be present, strengths, areas of development and more.

Most personality tests only report on 8-16 behavioural styles. eDISC measures 160 different styles!

  • Insights into the strengths and development areas you have in your workplace
  • How to identify each style & how to communicate with them for the best outcome
  • What really drives different personality types, giving you more understanding, compassion and helping you build more meaningful relationships

How it works:

  1. After purchasing, you complete the online questionnaire (instructions will be emailed to you)
  2. We receive the report and will analyse the results (usually need 1-3 business days)
  3. We then unpack this with you either in person or via zoom (allow 90mins to 2 hours… it depends how long we chat! 🙂 )
  4. A PDF copy of the report will be supplied via email for you to keep, along with some other DISC goodies!
